I seem to be hearing more and more of people who are having their dogs diagnosed with HD so I was just wondering how many people on here have dogs who are suffering with this and what symptoms are the presenting with i.e. foot dragging, bunny hopping, stiffness, inability to meneover (sp?) the same???

But if they dont then how do you know they have it? Presumably it is always diagnosed with x-rays etc and if they are not showing any trouble then they wouldnt have these done other than for hip scoring. Therefore how would you know if they had it if they are A-sympomatic other than if they have been x-rayed for hip scoring

you wouldnt hence the only reason I knew Zandi had ED was when he was x-rayed for hip & elbow scoring
likewise I know his spine is fine has he had that x-rayed after an accident at 5yrs

I posted in a thread earlier saying that I randomly had Del's whole skeleton x rayed when he was very ill and it was only then when my vet said 'oh and he has some mild HD' that we found out as he had never shown any symptoms
