Groaning.

Titon is groaning a lot today and also licking his lips and acting like something is irritating him in his mouth, i have had a look at the roof of his mouth for any sticks or things that may be stuck and also checked the back of his mouth and up his nose but to no avail, he is laying down and eating and drinking quite happily but won't stop groaning.....

Any thoughts?

Hmm, that's a strange one, have you run your hands all over his body to check he's not in pain? If he's eating and drinking ok then that's a good thing.

Just done that and had no signs of being in any pain or discomfort. He seems to be producing a lot of liquid from his mouth which i think is why he is licking a lot, and has a general depressed/feeling sorry for himself manner....

Has he maybe picked something up in the garden maybe that's reacting in his mouth?? Is the liquid clear from his mouth?

Yes the liquid is clear, in-fact i think it is excess saliva. The garden doesn't contain any plants or grass, it's just patio and gravel. This mornings walk was on a field chasing and running as normal, what sort of things could be caught from there?
It's an empty field at the minute we have been using that for the last month or so, so there has been no livestock in it for at least that amount of time.....

Hmm ok then if there's no plants in the garden then that rules that out and if there's nothing on the field I doubt he'd have picked anything up.....

I would keep an eye on him, make sure he's eating and drinking ok and if you're worried and it continues them perhaps just call the vets and ask their advice.

Shrap has a spectacular aura about
Maybe he's just done a muscle in this morning and is trying to get comfy Give him a massage and watch for any calming signals. Dino groans and grumbles when he's had a good run about x

Jude is on a distinguished road
Excessive salivation and licking lips can be a sign of belly ache.
