kelpiemad has a spectacular aura about
Thankyou all so much for all your kind words and concern sorry I haven't been on till now it has been such a hectic week and i felt totally drained at night
Ginny's op went well but i was realy surprised that I couldn't have her home and she had to spend the night on pain relief. It is part of her hock that she broke and the vet has put in a pin and a tensioning wire to hold it firm. He had to take a bone graft from her shoulder to help the bone mend it was a shock to see her shoulder shaved as well She came back with two lots of pain killers and some abs. I took her back on fri and he said so far he is pleased with it I have to be realy careful she is kept quiet as it could rebreake until it has started to heel the vet has put her another splint on to try and protect it. Trying to keep a kelpie quiet is not easy she is just kept on the lead and cage rest but i am more worried about the other dogs knocking into her.Thankyou all so much for your suport through this I Think it made it worse because it brought back all the bad memorys of When Kai broke his leg 11 years ago they thorght he might lose his leg he was only 4month at the time thankfully he made a full recovery and i have still got him. I will let you know how she goes on with her next check up Thanks again lv m

Willo is on a distinguished road
Poor Ginny and poor you! Glad she's come through the op ok, best of luck keeping her quiet! Fingers and paws crossed for a swift recovery!

My poor Dad was almost in tears yesterday thinking Olli had broken his leg - Olli raced through the house and must have caught his leg on the wall between living room and dining room, ending up in a heap yelping like his leg had fallen off. I was on the loo at the time (must've been one of the very few times I've been allowed to the loo unaccompanied). By the time I got downstairs Olli was in a sit, with Dad holding him and holding the leg that Olli had held up as he went down. After 30 seconds he stopped yelping so we sat holding him for another minute, calming him down and just holding him. 2 minutes later when we let go he's running round like nothing happened! Poor Dad was as white as a sheet, thought he was going to have kittens! Olli was fine last night, and has been out walking/playing with his boomer ball around the park for a couple of hours this afternoon. No limping no nothing! The only thing I can think he has done is caught the equivalent of our funny bone.
