kelpiemad has a spectacular aura about
Poor Ginny

Poor Ginny broke her leg yesterday just to Finnish off the year she was outside playing and I heard her scream I went rushing out and saw she was holding her leg up when I looked close you could tell her leg was at a funny angle so it was an emergency trip to the vets Ginny being a kelpie is a real tough nut and never complained again even when the vet was manipulating it . The vet has put it in a splint and she has to go in for a opp on Tues morning to have the bone fused I am dreading it . Gin is running around on three legs not bothered one bit . When I read about a Kelpie in Australia still working sheep with a broken leg I now beleive it I just hope the opp goes well and it is repairable the vet wasn't too sure luckily the vet I saw is a specialist in bone surgery he gets alot of refurals from other vets so she will be in good hands

Oh no Poor Ginny! One of our working collies broke his leg jumping a gate on New Years Day a few years ago. The op went well though and he is now working and trialling in Denmark. I will keep Gin in my thoughts on Tuesday.

Poor Ginny, I hope all goes well next week,..I am sure it will, but I know that we would all be worried.

It is the one fear I have when I see my dogs running like hell over this rough ground up here, this is why I carry a first aid kit, and have ideas already worked out in my head as to how I would get a dog back off the hill with a broken leg,... it would be a nightmare though
