How much is too much? (re poo)

Just been out in the garden to pick up the poo. I forgot to pick it up yesterday and by the time I remembered it was dark and our light is broken. I've just picked up 9 lots of poo, which, in 24 hours, is an awful lot in my mind.
I've had Kaiser since Wednesday night, his previous owner didn't really have a stable diet for him and gave me a load of bakers complete, tins of butchers, tins of tuna, a couple of webbox and loads of treats. He is 6 months old but I currently have no idea of his weight until he goes back to the vets on Thursday.
Is that amount a lot? Will it be caused by him being over fed? I know a new diet will cause him to have a gippy tummy until he is used to it but what I picked up was a mixture of normal, runny and in between, as delightful as it is.
The diet I am planning on giving him is:
1/2 a webbox for breakfast and 100g dog mixer
1/2 webbox for dinner and 100g dog mixer
Once he is fully grown he will be given 400g dog mixer a day along with the webbox. Is this a suitable diet for him? My mum's GSD had the same for years until she got some stomach disease and had to switch to potato, pasta and chicken. Does anyone know of a decent mixer? I got him a box of Asda Hero dog mixer but he doesn't seem to like it and I was told it is like feeding him with MacDonalds every day. If not, does anyone have any suggestions on a good diet for him?
Many thanks!

Nope not on puppy food. It wasn't in with any of the food she gave us so I figured he was OK on adult food. He has the webbox and adult dog mixer. He isn't skinny of chunky, he just looks a normal build to me in truth But he's my first dog, all my others have been family dogs so I want to get everything right for him from the off

I personally would still have him on puppy food. There are a lot of supplements in puppy food that they need whilst their bones are growing. Some foods you can feed them on until they are a year ( maybe a junior food)

And in answer to your question, I would say Yes 9 poos in 24 hours is a lot. It could be too much food or it could be the food he is getting is not of benefit to him and is going right through. What is the consistencey like? Hard poop or runny

What age would you say to keep him on the puppy food until then? I'll go get him some tomorrow. The consistency has varied. There were a few solid/normal ones, the majority were part runny, part solid and there were a few runny.

It's been a while since I had a puppy so I don't want to give you the wrong advice on how long to keep them on puppy food. Some will say until 9 months others will say 1 year. There is defo a lot of junior foods out there too which will be an in-between puppy and adult.

You need to find a food that makes poop solid and not runny as the dog is getting nothing out of the food. too much poo means you are feeding too much and dog is getting rid of the excess

DelsMum has a spectacular aura about
Whats webbox??

I'd say 9 poos in 24 hours is loads, mine do 2-3/day.
Jack's breeder fed him on adult food from about 4 months as he said the amount of protein in some puppy foods can make them grow too quickly but as I'm a raw feeder and switched him over quite quickly I can't really say but might be something to look into?
