Not eating
Hi guys,
Up until now 15.00 Wednesday, Bodie hasnt really ate anything since 1300 Monday.
He was fine on our walk Monday evening, but when we went home, he didnt touch his food, not even a treat could pursuade him.
He has been drinking ok, and peeing ok, but no poop since 0600 Tuesday, ( due to no food )
He has even refused chicken, and up until now his favourite treats mini markies. Although he did eat about 3 just now.
He is moaping around a bit, but on a walk he's back to his usual bouncy self, chasing and picking up sticks etc, so I know theres nothing really wrong with him.
Im wondering before I decide to take him to the vet, has he smelt a bitch in season? and now thats all whats on his mind?
cheers

A bitch in season is a possibility. Has he been sniffing around a lot more on his walks?

He constantly sniffs since a pup, his nose works overtime when he;s out! so no different to normal.
He still hasnt eaten tonight, but has drunk water. But The Mrs has noticed he ate softer things when trying to tempt him like a bit of cheese and some sausage, but his usual 'harder' food like markies and biscuits he's refusing, she seems to think he's chewing funny and maybe something wrong with his mouth. I have tried to peer in, and I cant see any abnormalities in there, teeth, gums, tongue seem ok, and movement of jaw, but Im taking him to the vet tomorrow, as its gone beyond being a bit fussy with food now.

From your last post, it does seem to be something that needs a vet,... a bad tooth, spinter from a stick,..something alone those lines.
You will have to report back and let us know

I actually hope for you that the vet takes a look, pulls out a little bit of a stick wedged into the back of his teeth, and no harm done. If he is just being fussy i feel for you, i actually think its quite possibly the hardest thing to deal with a very fussy eater.

Just got back from vets.
She couldnt find nothing wrong with his mouth, everything fine, gums, teeth, tongue colour etc. Felt all his glands etc, no swelling. She said if something was stuck by 3 days after there would be salivating etc. Heart ok, lungs, felt abdomen, nothing.
He would NOT let us take his temperature, he never likes anyone touching his tail.
But apart from that, she was not overley concerned, seeing as he's still enthusiastic on walks and he's drinking.
They have 24hr surgery if anything develops, and just said keep an eye on him.
We can go down the road of blood tests etc if it carries on.
She asked what he is like with food normally, and we always have to 'spice' his complete biscuits up with something like chicken, tuna etc, and even then if we give it to him at 6PM, he may not touch it till 10PM, I thin k he's trying it on.
Every morning I give him a brush, and he has a dentistix, he even ran into the other room this morning not wanting it.
I just dont know

Tried them all in the past, He now has Hypoallergenic premier fish and rice complete dog food, which has been a great success for ages.
Had a walk tonight, he was full of running and chasing sticks. Came home tried him with some corned beef. He grazed a bit, I mean a bit, not enough for a budgie, and has left the rest

This doesn't sound quite right - I would have thought that if he was just being fussy he'd have given in by now and eaten something.
Did the vet do a scan or x-ray or anything?
