Hydrotherapy £15 per session Norfolk/Suffolk Border

HYDROTHERAPY RECOMMENDATION - Norfolk/Suffolk Border - off the A140 just outside Diss (halfway between Ipswich and Norwich)

Quiet Acres Hydrotherapy £15 for 5 or more sessions (£18 otherwise).

Free trial swim.

Inclusive of the £15:
Warm up/cool down
Swim - Owner Phil (Hawksmoor trained) in pool - free swimming all dogs
Shampoo and Condition
Blow Dry - vital for muscles, the joints and the kidneys

My 18 month old GSD Gunner was diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia at 6 months. We tried a fixed point harness system but Gunner would paddle for a little while then tuck his back legs up, refuse to swim and have a very expensive bath! Changed to Quiet Acres and am delighted. The fact that Phil is in the pool with Gunner means the swim is interactive and we play all sorts of games, he does not get bored so works very hard - giving Phil at 10min window to wash and blow dry him before the blaster becomes a toy!

Since swimming at Quiet Acres his muscle mass has increased and more importantly evened out. His right hip is worse and when we began there was nearly a 2 inch difference between the muscles at the tops of his right leg to the left. Now the difference is millimetres. He has also lost weight!

The pool has ramp access and an electronic lift.
They also have a Hot Spa (seperate lift) heated to 34 degrees for arthritis.

The owners have a shepherd and have owned them all their lives so can cope with Gunner's singing at the top of his voice and his rugby tackles in his excitement to get in the pool!

I can not recommend them highly enough and an absolute bargain!!

Billy Sitch has a spectacular aura about
Wow that is cheap and with a shampoo and blow dry as well!

Did your dog get a proper brush out with an all-over wash and dry because our hydro is from £22 with a rinse and dry but if you want a proper grooming session then it would be alot more?

I wished there was something like that, when our lovely old boy 'Jack' was alive.
Sounds brilliant and very good value.
I hope this thread helps a lot of people and their dogs, as it has helped you.
Thank you for sharing.

All brushing is left to me for my sins. Gunner puts up with brushing for about 5-10 mins at a time singing all the time to tell me he is not pleased and then gets bored and decides attacking the brushes is more fun than being groomed.

I brush him a little every day as I do not want to resort to bribery!!! Extra brushing on the day and day after swimming but at the pool we concentrate on getting him as dry as possible as he is has a very thick coat.
