Harvey is nearly 2 and long haired he last weighed in at 52kg and hopefully lost a bit more since we last got him weighed as our vet said he should be around 45kg, to be honest he doesnt look overweight and you can feel his ribs but he is all muscle and I have been told that he is a "big" dog

Blitz was last weighed at around 11 months and weighed in at 37kg he is probably heavier than that now.
Last time we saw the vet she told us he was a little over the average and so technically overweight but she said that he was built big and looked and felt a good shape so wouldn't try and have him lose any.

all covered i think, they should be lean rether than over as this helps to avoid joint probs in the future i belive

My lad and his brother both work at the same place, he is 43 kgs and his brother is over ten kilos lighter, it is all about looks and frame i think, i have also been told speed of growth as a pup may hold the key to how much weight they can take as an adult.

I just got back from Oban vets, where Sam and Kee were having their boosters, so of course while we were there they were weighed,.. Sam is, 29 inches to the weithers and 41.8 kgs, he has always been a lean we muscled dog, the vet said he was one of the best conditioned dogs she had seen for a while,..which made me feel great

So far since we have had Sam, his weight has remain quite steady,...
the day we collected him on the 11.1.10 he was 34kgs,..
on the 26.3.10 when we took him for injections he was 38.5 kgs
on the 18.1.11 he weighed in at 35 kgs
and today 41.8 kgs

Kee has always been very hard to keep weight off her, she has been speyed, and I knew she has always been over weight, so I never had her weighed when we went to the vet for boosters on purpose,.. because although I was trying to get the weight down I knew I was failing.

Last year was the first year that the vet herself put Kee on the scales, while I cringed, she is a small Shepherd at only 25inches to the weithers, and that day she weighed 40.5 kgs,..I nearly crawled out of the place.

Today however I felt better, and wanted her wieghed, I didnt think she was quite right yet, but I was sure she was close,..... today she weighed in at 34.5 kgs... the vet was full of praise for her condition, but suggested to be on the button she needed to be 32kgs,..so nearly there
