will a long walk be bad for him?

Kaiser is now 7 months old and i read somewhere that he should only be walked for 35 minutes a day, any more can be bad for him. this week he hasn't had his 35 minutes a day, it has been a lot less as he gets bored and wants to get back in the car. today i have been invited for a walk around heswall dales with my cousin and his husky pup, a quick search shows the walk is roughly 2-4 hrs long. will kaiser be ok? I know too much exercise can put strain on him whilst he is still growing but it isn't going to be a regular thing. i'm hoping it will help socialise him a bit more and tire him out so i can get on with uni work tonight!

Tedsmum will become famous soon enough
I personally would think that is too long for a growing pup.
Can you not discuss it with your fellow walker and agree to do a shorter route?
If you add in the fact that they will probably be hurling around as they are both pups, it is a lot of exercise all in one chunk.
I would risk an hour max if it were me.

Free running on grass is fine, it's too much street walking at an early age that can do damage

If the dog is off lead, I would say that 3 hours will be fine for him,.. running free the dog regulates his movements, i.e. slows, stops, picks up speed,... which is far less stressfull that a steady three hour walk on a lead where is cant do that

cheers guys It ended up as a 45 minute walk and he was exhausted by the end! He bit his tongue at one point and fell over on the way back to the car because he tangled himself up in his lead but all in all he seemed to really enjoy it. He allowed the husky to lead and was just quite happy playing with the smaller dogs, although him and the husky had a race up a massive hill with my cousin and me in tow, poor Kaiser lost because I nearly died! It was his first woodland walk though so I think he will be a bit calmer next time
