LindaM will become famous soon enough
Glad you have got your boy back. Calpol is paracetamol and I wouldn't give that to my dog, I would only give him what is suitable for a dog but I am not knowledgable on this. I would stick to the Metacam to be safe.

I haven't noticed any change in my boy's behaviour just his coat is a bit more feathery. My shep was castrated at 3 and a half. Some with younger dogs may have seen changes in behaviour.

Hope his wound heals well.

Well 24hrs later and hes back to his former glory.

Whining for what he wants, his wound is definitely irritating him each times hes gone to lick around the area followed a sharp No. but to no avail really. ive watched over him last night was peaceful eventually..
I'm wondering if its ok to leash him in the kitchen this evening after I decide to goto bed. Id sleep in the living room so within ear shot.
today he just seems to want to be outside either just sat or stood.. his nose is soaked is that good? but seems to have knocked hell out of him although he ate last night it wasn't a great deal. as if weight has dropped off him.
The gentle diet is that to remove any strain on the abdomen when passing erm waste?

Glad he's doing well. The gentle diet will keep pressure off, but will also be easier on his digestive system which can be upset a bit by the anaesthetic.

Well this afternoon late around 5pm took fritz out for walkies.. came back had tea etc.. was time to settle and low and behold he wouldnt settle and just whinned looked at his wound all fine just his tummy looked like he was 6 months pregnant.. called the vet by 7:30pm as he wouldnt settle at all even after his medication..

took him up there for morphine injection or whatever they call it and anti biotics injection.. and the damn lampshade. hes still not settling now and pushing weight right onto me as im typing and whinning. hes fine me giving him tummy rubs.. and seems to quieten..

hes so dying to fall asleep but hes in a degree of discomfort his head keeps lowering to the ground but then he wakes and starts whinning again..

tried giving him water via a large shrindge so i dont need to remove the collar. wont accept it. tried to also take him to te back doobecause i thought he was hot too..
