pup with swollen mouth

Hi everyone,

A bit of advice needed if you don't mind. Enzo (16weeks old) was a bit restless last night, didn't think too much of it. Today I took him to the vets for his chip to be put in and he was fine, this evening we noticed his lower jaw is swollen on one side, just behind his canine tooth. He won't let us in there to have a look and its sore when we try. I don't think he's been stung (not really been left on his own and we didn't hear any yelping) but him and Sasha are always locking jaws in play fighting (maybe she caught his gum or something). Oviously he'll be back to the vets in the morning if its still causing a problem then but just concerned it maybe something that requires treatment urgently...

Anyone any thoughts?

Kev

if you can and if you have some put some bonjella on the gums for tonight, I am thinking gingivitis, which is a bacterial infection, I would tomorrow have a chat with the vet..............but lol I run to the vets when he sneezes

never thought of that! Will try and get some in to the swollen area, he normally lets us look in his mouth but things are clamped tight shut at the moment.

He's not off his food, he's just wolfed down his dinner.

thanx for the reply
