maxandskye has a spectacular aura about
Anal Furuncllosis.

Hi all.

I have been saying for some time now, that I must mention this terrible disease "Anal Furuncllosis". I lost my boy Max to it 6 years ago. I will never forget how brave he was.

If there is anyone reading this now, knowing that their babie has this disease, please dont dispair !! In the last few years there has been a lot of research done about this, it is now not the deadly disease it once was.

There have been great results in GSDs by using Aloe Vera juice, & Yeo Valley natural yogurt, which I personally have witnessed in a GSD aged 2 years old. There is also a drug called Cyclosporan, which is expensive, but proven to give great results.

If anyone doesnt know what it looks like, the best way I can describe it is, small lesions around the Anus, which becomes inflamed, & sore. The dog will also want t lick it all the time, which makes it worse.

I`m actually getting quite upset writing this, so I will say goodbye for now.

This post is dedicated to my Max.

Maxandskye.

Beki is a jewel in the rough
We where tolod about this by the first lot of puppy classes we went to and does sound nasty!!!!

At least Max is running free forever!!!

With a greater knowledge of diseases such as these we have a much greater chance of being able to spot such problems and increase our chances to keep our babies and make them well again.

Thanks for this!!!

Yeh as poor little Max found out it can be very nasty, but i am lead to believe if you catch it early enough it can be treated better now.

its not always put out there as one to look out for, we where told the best way you can notice it is if it looks like they have sat on a load of broken glass, I could be wrong, but think its linked to the fact that they have their tails up, but like i say i could be wrong
