Not sure if she's necessarily a GSD trainer, but when Dexter comes home I will be attending Di Martin's classes with him to get him well behaved. Her website is here: Click-To-Heel. She's based in Bracknell, and was really good with my parents unruly bundle of hell!

My puppy has been attending obedience training since 3 months old - he is 7 months now, passed his Puppy training and now on Bronze. This training is great and something I will continue.. but i am looking for something in addition to this, something that is a bit more fun than being kept on a leash being told to sit/stand/down etc for an hour then going home, lol! I guess more of a sport... I can tell he needs more, something more challenging, and where he can get active!

i just get a feeling that he is getting fustrated and needs to be excercised metally and physically more than he is - I would love to invest more time with him at home but with children this is not easy. I think it is nice that he gets to go somewhere on a regular basis away from his regular surroundings where he can get more involved - just dont know where!

I am happy with his current trainers but then again I dont know any different and was wondering if there were any recommendations I could look into as this is my first time taking a puppy training.

I hope this helps, appreciate any feedback any of you may have.

Thanks.

sumbles across this thread...you didn't say where in Berks you are but these people are really good...we have been doing thier puppy class and the Lady who does our class (Kris) is excellent:
Pets in Practise, Dog Training, Puppy Training and Pet Behaviour Consultations, Reading Berkshire

*edit* you did say where you were... not sure how much of a drive that will be for you. Try looking on the APDT webiste (Association of Pet Dog Trainers)

Got another one for you. Ended up using someone completely different - its the BAGSD people, its based in Yately so might be a bit of a drive for you, but its really very good

Here's their website :

Home - Official Camberley BAGSD

Classes are £2/hour (so cheap!) plus a yearly membership of £14.
