To be fair, I did do basic training with him myself before we went to classes, I just wanted to refine it and I also wanted to do more with him and judging from today, it looks like we may look towards agility
We don't set aside a specific time to practice, we just try to bring it in to everyday life so we are doing it throughout the day
Are you going to have a birthday party for Bonnie? xxx

Im sure he is an angel, Bonnie is too...... when she is asleep

Its good to have that to mix things up a bit and keep him keen, agility looks like a lot of fun for both dog and owner!
Like Otto, Bonnie knew the commands too but wanted to work on refining them like you said and too do them with distractions and the biggy... DEALING WITH THE BARKING!!

We mostly did the bascis, walk to heel and sit so on walks we are practicing this along with a few other tips I picked up during the evening. I ask about the practice as our trainer said to set aside 10-15mins at least once a day for training.
RE birthday party.... well!! the OH thinks im mad BUT im making her a cake (liver of course) in a bone shape and have her presents all wrapped up

and plan on a lovely day out in the park
