Shebas First Training Class

We took Sheba to her first class today. The facilities & instructors were brilliant Slightly larger class than we had anticipated but I am sure it will be fine.
She already knows several commands but trying to replicate then in front of 14 other dogs is a challenge.
We chose the centre as it has been purpose built for training dogs & has an excellent reputation.
Sheba did well despite the distractions so looking forward to going back next week

Tedsmum will become famous soon enough
Well done Sheba.
That sounds like a huge class so there are lots of distractions for such a baby dog.
She did well to do anything, my dog did nothing but bark for the whole hour the first time I took him and forgot everything he already knew.
I am sure she will keep improving and you may well find that the class gets smaller as the weeks go on and people drop out.

I had a class that big when Bonnie was little and I didn't cope at all!! I hated it and was so stressed, it put me off going to classes! I've found one now that she us 11mths old that has max 6 in a class

I'm not surprised tbh hun, that's a lot of excitable dogs! I think 6 is really a better size to allow pup and owner to relax

Been to a couple more classes & the group size has been 6 - 8 dogs. She is doing really well & today we had a GSD monopoly with 4 in the class. Working hard on keeping her attention but we will get there

Exciting, fun, & stressful all at the same time. The smaller classes are much better & the environment is great as after the classes there must be over 50 dogs (all different breeds) so good for socialisation & getting to meet other gsd/dog owners
