Halti Dog Training Head Collar

Diva's now almost 7 months and still pulls like a train on walks, my partner is strong and so can control her but I cant She pulls so much that she pants uncontrollably sometimes and that cant be good for both her neck and health!! Someone has suggested we use a Halti head collar, has anyone got one and are they any good? Ta!

Yes I used one on Diesel until he was about 18months and I'd cracked walking to heel on a flat collar.

I found letting him put his face into it whilst in the house, lots of treats for doing it and then I played with him in it so he got used to wearing it then I took him out for a walk.

Bailey wears a Gentle Leader, I would rather persevere with a flat collar but he can be a git. So for Lynnes sake when walking him he wears it (she's not as strong as me)
But often when returning from a good run I walk him on just on his collar but he is still wearing the leader, so the the slightest bit of misbehaving and I just clip it on. Good behaviour is rewarded with a free nose.

I use a halti for Daisy. You need to use it with a flat collar and the double-ended Halti lead. Never use it with an extending lead btw.

I've used it on all my dogs. After a while I find I can stop using it. I'm currently using it on Poppy. As soon as I put it on she's a lot calmer. If used properly I think they're good.

Yup the halti was a godsend for Diesel and now I am weaning him off it by using the double ended lead and only using the "head" end if there is a problem so I hope soon he will be on a flat collar and lead.

This is what I use... I was anti - halti for ages but gave in due to unwanted behaviour and must admit I was wrong about them. Bonnie us so much more calmer and I have way more control!!! Best thing I did
