Matrix/Logan has a spectacular aura about
Blade's recall work paying off!!

Just came back from the bridle walk where we take the dogs some nights, Blade saw a pheasant (before we did) and decided to take off after it!! I kept my cool and shouted WAIT- COME and to my absolute astonishment he came straight back!! (i then panicked and thought Oh crap!!! LOL) but at least that proves that the online training we have been doing this last few weeks has paid off and he is actually listening to me now! I was so thrilled, i know he still has a way to go but i am very pleased with him! X

Awww :-) Well done Blade! That's pretty good to be able to stop him mid chase, not sure I could get Dex to do that.

That is good. I used to be able to recall Remus off prey, but now Zee's on the scene as well, I've no chance. Unless I can get a DON'T YOU DARE! in while they're in that shall i shan't i mode Mostly they look at each other, head off for it and ignore me

On today's walk they ran off after a loose dog which had escaped into the field we were in, wanting to play with it. The poor owner was shouting it back but it was ignoring her, mine were ignoring me - great! When they came back and ignored it I praised them.. beggars only went ran after it again! Deliberate disobedience, so they got a massive telling off when they came back the second time. I ended the walk and went back home with them looking all sheepish and ignored them. Cruel mummy!

Well done Blade! (and mummy of course for all the hard work x)

I find Diesel listens more if I say the commands in a calm authoritive manner - if I panic hes not listening!

Actually sometimes he's just not listening!.......

The online training i mean is on a long line hun. He has been wearing a long line recently and has been much better behaved, i just leave it hanging on his collar but let him run free, then jump on it if i see him going where he shouldn't. He didn't have a longline on yesterday as there are a lot of bushes and trees he likes to run through with the other 2 and i didn't want him getting tangled in them!

Thanks everyone, glad to hear it's not just Blade that is naughty at times and suffers from ''selective deafness''!!!

Many congratulations on the recall . so much harder to call them back once they've sprinted off.
