Maybe I should rein in my over excitement when it comes to the small progressive steps that Abi is making since her 'different' training began

. One of the biggest challenges we faced was her hostile reaction to other dogs... lunging and barking (not sure if this was fear based or actual aggression).
Anyway, a few days ago my neighbour's puppy escaped from their back garden and I had no choice other than bring him into the house with my Abi (help

). Thankfully I still had her old crate in the garage, so was able to pop that into the kitchen with the view I'd keep them in separate rooms. However, the puppy howled every time he was left alone and Abi cried when I banned her from the kitchen, so I took a deep breath and prepared myself for Abi's hostility, especially as a dog was in her home... I let her in to investigate the howling.
Abi was so flipping calm that I was shocked. She headed straight for 'her mat' in the corner (lol, note the cut edges because she chewed it up). Once Abi had joined the pup, they both settled down and Abi took a nap

.
