Today I met a contractor that started to work in our finance department.

She has a 7 year old shep that had her first hip replaced 10 weeks ago at a different practice to Zak.

She even had all her paperwork with her and was able to give me copies of the post op sheets. They are totally different to mine

She had a cemented joint where as Zak has the non-cemented but her OP was £1200 less which baffles me

Her friends fun a local dog training center which specialise in German Shepherds

I have explained the issues I have with Zak and she has said they are more than used to dogs like this and the best thing I can do is bring him along in a few weeks once he is more mobile

It's something really cheap like £5 to join and £3 a session on a Sunday so I am going to take him in a few weeks. I might pop down with the wife this weekend without Zak just to see what it's like.

I did ring a lady called Jenny Fox that Sue posted a link too the other day, she wanted £145 for a consultation and then £35 an hour. I do not mind paying the money but I think I will take him to this other place first and see how he gets on. I was just put off taking him because of the way he is but she said the people are more than used to dogs like this and it's what they love doing so I canny wait

That sounds good then about the training. Sometimes I think you are better off not comparing notes on vets!!!

I would certainly be taking mine to the center if I were you,.. its a good idea to visit first, that will give you some confidence when you take Zak,... nice price too
