I like gencon too, when I got my crazy spaniel as a rescue he used to jump up 6' in the air to say hello to everyone he met. Someone suggested it and it worked a treat. It also made him walk properly too, and added bonus.

He now no longer needs it and it has been pinched (that's stolen for you non Scottish peeps) by my mum who uses it for her doggie boarding business (with owners permission) and she now swears by it too.

Have used halt too and also finds it rides up the nose, but certainly still stopped my big girl pulling.
