Just wondered if anyone has tried this, Sam is really good at loose lead walking unless there is another dog around then he pulls, flips, howls you name it he does it

I was considering putting the headcollar on him but only clipping the lead to it when there is another dog there (forcing him to walk nicely) then putting the lead back on his normal collar when the distraction is gone.
I have the gencon all-in-one, which I have been taking with me, but I've discovered that fitting it correctly when he's in full flip mode is almost impossible... Obviously what I'd like to ultimately acheive is nice walking all the time on a conventional lead.
Do you think this would work? or is it better to persevere with his normal collar and lead?
