I filmed Kai on the treadmill today with the aim of compiling a little Kai's fitness regime for Schutzhund video

Ash, what would be the length and speed that you may aim for?,.. mine are happy to do half an hour at 6 miles an hour,...its not too long or too fast

Sounds about right. I do that speed too - 30 mins is about my limit on a dreadmill due to boredom factor. I'd rather be out in the elements (except ice!)

We start slow for about 5-7 minutes, knock it up a few notches to a trot for 5 minutes, running speed for 5 minutes then gradually get down to walking for 5 minutes for the cool down.
This is all after they've been obedience training for about 40 minutes outside so they get a good going over.
