Just a little bit proud last night...
Jackson and I went to training as usual, one by one everyone in the class got called over to do agility, Jackson and I went first... he loves doing the agility so much I think he'd just bound off and run amock! BUT NO... He was off the lead and loving it... He took each piece one at a time, occaisionally missed a small jump here and there but understood what was wanted of him... the bendy tunnel was new so had to redo that but he soon had his confidence and flew through... then came the weaving poles (reattached the lead for this bit).... now he's only done these before on a tight lead with me stepping in and out... tonight he managed half on a loose lead before losing interest... PROGRESS AT LAST!! I think next week we'll have mastered it... well maybe not but we'll try!!
once we rejoined the class with Jackson and me beaming smiles we had to continue with the obedience and heel work, we had to walk forward give the sit command and continue walking to the end of the lead then walk back past the dog to the other end of the lead and wait before walking past them and picking the dog back up into heel work.... Yep... My little STAR did it again... first time... we then had to do this in front of the class... my heart was pounding.... Jackson was looking up to me for reassurance... my confidence in him overflowing at this point... Well he did it although took an extra step before sitting but was there.... It was proud moment #1098
SO PROUD
