Both books are really good, but especially the Glen Johnson one. I have heard of people who have ended up with some exceptionally competent tracking dogs by following his book to the letter ... but I am not especially good at following instructions in a book (and find it easier to learn by watching others) and so have been fortunate to have the help of a police dog handler and a working trials competitor.

Good luck with your training. My dogs love tracking, and it wears them out both physically and mentally
