I'm a complete novice and I've never seen an electric collar? but regardless of what training methods were used this dog looks like it's having the time of it's life and I guess that even a flat collar and lead can be cruel in the wrong hands... This trainer is obviously very experienced and his dog does not look abused emotionally or physically to me... (runs for cover )

That kind of surprises me. I would have expected the dog to display signs of nervousness if he had been trained by an electric shock collar. He seems very confident and is wagging his tail almost constantly.

I've never seen or heard of him using one. There's certainly not one in that video nor does the dog show any sign of stress or cruelty...

I have seen this vid before and loved it. The dog has such a brilliant attitude to his work - his tail never stops wagging. Wonderful to see such a strong bond between dog and handler.
