Oakley has his Gold test tonight

Hi

Just thought I'd let you all know that Oakley has his Good Citizen Gold test tonight.

I'm not too confident about this one especially the down stay. He seems to get anxious when I go out of sight and tends to sit up but still stays on the spot. I hope it all comes together tonight but it's no big deal if it doesn't, after all he only turns a year old on the 16th. It's a lot for a pup of his age to take on and we'll just try again.

I'm so proud of what he's achieved already and I love him to bits.

Wish us luck.

Graham

Good luck Oakley, I'm sure you'll be fine.

You've got the best attitude towards doing it, not putting too much pressure on him.

Firstly well done on completing the training to even put in for the Gold award with your young dog. I managed to get all three awards with Flame (my oldie girlie) before she was 12 months old, so know the work and dedication that goes into it

I wish you the best of luck for tonight and hope that you and Oakley manage to pull it off. Many shepherds don't enjoy the down stay out of sight of their owner - as they are such people dogs. Let us know how you get on ... and we need pics too of course
