obsessed

Morning All!
Indi really loves and mean loves the next doors Labrador bitch.
She goes nuts when she sees her starts screaming and desperate to run with her.
Sunday out on a walk Indi got her scent and ran away after her. Recall not a prayer.
How do you think i can cool her relationship with the lab without spoiling it?

Is there any way you could walk your dog with the Lab and their owner regularly? Perhaps try and bore them out of their obsession with each other?

Another method could be to try and make yourself far more interesting when out on walks, so Indi looks to you for all things exciting, rather than the Lab. Short, exciting games like chase the ball, tug, hide and seek etc.

If you do think there is a real worry that Indi might take off after the Lab (or any other dog) have a light, long training line on her so if she does make a run for it, you can grab the end. Also try to be aiming to teach her a really solid recall.

I am thinking of just walking in my mates field with them both and then turn tail and go back under my say so?
I did recall with her yesterday and she waits until i am 150ft away then i turn and call her.
She comes back like a missile!
Not when the lab buddy is there tho
