I agree - especially if she only gets to go on a walk when she is wearing it!!
Use it every time and she will soon realise that if she wants to go out for a walk she has to accept it.

I dissagree most dogs do this cos they hate the things I hate the things too it takes away all the dogs natural instincts to sniff the floor n mark areas and do what they love best SNIFF with the right training and a nice flat leather collar and flat leather leash in time with 100% dedication from the handler u will see results

I am not sure how it restricts sniffing, my dogs are allowed to drop their heads to sniff while wearing a Gencon as they would if there were not wearing anything, it is not tight on the nose if that is what you mean .
I agree,..and have always said that it is a training aid, and a normal collar and lead are better, [ I dont use one now, or very rarely ].... but although they hate it at first,.. they do feel better about it in time, and there are no more restictions to the Gencon than any normal collar and lead

It will never train a dog t walk nicely and I know it takes away the natural instinct it does restrict them thats why most dont pull on it if it works for u then fine but I cant stand the things

Sorry Charlie,..I have to disagree,... all my dogs would walk good on their own, but when I first took them out all together, there was the normal pulling in order to get their noses in front of each other,...I didnt have the time to walk three dogs each on their own,..so I purchased three Gencons
None of them liked them at first,.. they were not overly keen on the last time I used them,.. but they do get used to them, and they do teach a dog to walk well,..I know this, because I have proved it to myself
There has also been a lot of people here who have enjoyed the benifits of the thing as a training aid, dogs do learn to walk on a loose lead with them without the slightest pulling,..even my three together, and as soon as they learnt to do that wearing a Gencon, I stopped useing it, and I now have three dogs I can walk on my left together without pulling

I disagree I used a gengon on my nutty springer who pulled and bounced 6 feet in the air when anyone came to speak to him. He soon got used to being in the heel position using the gentle pull on the gencon. I don't need to use it anymore as he got to know where he was to walk and not to jump on people.
Some people can be over powered by there dog through injury, back problems, or simply just a big dog-small person and these aids give people confidence that they are in control of their dog.
Its surely better to walk your dog on a head collar than not walking being able to walk them at all.
