How are you getting on Sarah? I was thinking about Dalton and his prey drive/working brain this afternoon as Jerry Lee shot off into the woods with his nose to the ground lol shortly reappearing in hot persuit of a hare lol

hi Faye,
Were doing great thank you, on the whole he is great, and its working, because i channel his prey drive, he doesnt if that makes sense, he is luckily doing well, bar the odd lairy day, which i guess is natural given his age.
On the whole though i cant moan, we are working on his retrieve and present, beofre he would retrieve and drop it infront of me, but we are working on him presenting the object into my hand and not the floor, and getting him to hold his dumbell without mouthing it.
Cross fingers the teenage phase isnt to challenging LMAO, if not ill be sitting in the corner, grey, rocking singing to myself and dribbling haha, so you know where to find me chick.

JL is a tinker love him, little soul

xx

He is a little monster. Thank god he is too old to have a teenage phase or I'd probably have a break down lol

Are you going to continue tracking with him and look into trials? Every time I see JL's brain ticking I keep thinking to myself 'that dog needs to do something' if that makes sense. Think I will speak to my local BAGSD, go and watch a few classes and see what they say. I need to get his OB up to scratch and take it from there I think.

Yeah we doing tracking, obedience work, plus his dumbell work too, we arent doing any form of agility yet because he is still a baby, i hide his kong in the house or garden and he has to find it, most of the time he is good as he is too occupied to get into mischief, but does have days where he wont listen and is pigheaded, again this is the teenager in him haha.
It does make sense with JL chick, Dalton is a do-er, i can see iot in his eyes when he wants to do something, and afterwards he is almost smiling lol, daft I know, but he does look like he has a little smirk on his face.
Dont know about JL, but Dalton paces too if he is bored, like tigers do in the zoo lol
Usually Dalton is working/training, playing with KAne, eating or sleeping ha ha, so aslong as i keep him occupoied, he is an angel.
Left to his own devices, he can still revert back to bad boy mode

xx
