clever???.........or need the vet!!

hello everyone.

hope you and your dogs are all well.

housetraining storm we thought it would be a good idea to ignore the bad (weeing in the house/carpet/cage etc) and reward the good when she goes outside. we started giving her a titbit once she had done and praising her. well its working and as long as your there when she runs to the back door shes ok. however i have noticed that for some unknown reason she seems to be asking to go out very regularly. she squats as if weeing then runs back in. thismorning she went out 4 times between 6.30 and 7.45. has she just got me wrapped round her little finger and ensuring she gets lots of treats or should i be concerned??

just to say she is in good health, drinking and eating as expected

anyone else done this?

well she clearly knows where she is meant to wee now, the little monkey so I would just treat her when she actually does it! and then maybe every other time and gradually phase the treats out?

LOL...sounds like she's cottoned on to the treats thing. I would alternate as Beki said between treats and verbal praise.
