They came to check up on me...

I was out on a long walk with the boys yesterday, the ice is just ridiculous! Don`t know how many times I almost fell. On the way home (which by then was dark) I fell right on my back but landed on my already brusied elbow from a fall on Sunday. The boys Braeden and Spyke were a wee bit in front of me playing and doing usual dog stuff but they both came running back to me to check on me Tbh I was crying as it was a real sore one... both boys stayed with me until I got back on my feet. I gave them both a wee stroke and said good boys and they were off again.

Nice to know to they noticed

That's really nice. When you're on your own & something like that happens, they can give you so much comfort!

Ah bless those boys, they were worried about you obvoiusly.
Good to know your loyal friends are there for you and sorry you took another tumble. I have yet to go right over but I have had a few near misses.

I can only guess that Ted would probably just jump on me and think I was playing, but if he spotted another dog in the distance he wouldn't even be interested in what I was doing.
I bought my hubby (who is a delivery man) a pair of metal over shoes for grip on the ice and snow. They were from bettaware but you can get them on ebay too. He says they are really good.

Something similar happened to me yesterday- I was walking with four customer's dogs and my own Dexy. They were all playing and being hooligans, and ran into me (grrrr), knocking me over. I twisted my ankle a bit, and I was sat on the floor in the snow waiting for it to stop hurting as much.

I couldn't believe it though, two of the dogs (bella - burnese mountain dog and leila - mini pinscher cross) came and lay next to my hips whilst Dex stood over my legs in an alert "guarding" stance. Another little one (Saffy- mutt) was doing perimetre checks, and the fifth one (Shonty- golden retriever) thought I was playing and jumped on me, only to get very told off by the other dogs!!

Hope you're on the mend, Tracy!
