gypsyd is on a distinguished road
still biting and jumping up

behaviourist here again tuesday - walked him without muzzle but took it with me incase - she preteneded to be a person walking past kane was fine each time - somehow i think he knows she is a behaviourist!!!!

I take him out regardless but pay for it as still getting bruises - he walks ok some of the time and am learning with a two way lead now. If he has his muzzle on he just spends the entire walk trying to get it off!!!

I PREFER TO TRY AND WALK him without the muzzle where ever i can cos i find it easier to treat him so difficult to eat even tiny treats thru the hanibal lecter basket muzzle.

He walked fine for me when the snow was here - few probs now its gone hes being a little devil again!!

jumping up tried the knee thing but hes taller than me so that doesnt really work. I tried turning round but he just jumps on my back so still hurts

grrrrrrrrrr!!!!!! i have decided no matter what i am walking him atleast once a day i want to get my confidence back enuff to walk the streets again with him but try and stay away from busy areas.

he barks at some people mainly men or people i talk to

God forbid if a jogger or cyclist goes past - thank god for thecdouble ended lead atleast i can weight bear and hold on with the two way lead - but OMG!!!! he goes mental absolutely mental why why why???? you think the person or cyclist or jogger had three heads

I wish i could walk past people and dogs just like my husband does with him!!

Little devil

Watched victoria sitwell the other night with a great dane - me and kane to a tee - but she said turn and walk after the dog so tried that but what happens when............................. like me

a person stops talking to a cyclist at the top of the road and at the bottom of the road a woman with two dogs is talking to a man - and kane and I are stuck in the middle with the only way out is passing either the cyclist or the dogs!!!!!!!

I am paying a behaviourist but to be honest i cant afford to keep doing this so desperate for any ideas

whilst out walking i try sit command let him sniff smell

he only poos when he doesnt have the muzzle on never when he wears it.

I want him to stop biting my arm im covered in bruises but i emphasize that IT IS NOT A NASTY AGGRESSIVE BITE just a habit i want him to stop!!!!

tried the usual commands tried the knee tried turning round but he just hurts my back. It is my poor arm im worried about if it was just jumping up i think i could handle it but its either biting and jumping up together
biting but not jumping up and refusing to let go of my coat sleeve

when he bites he hangs on to my clothing and hard to get him to release - sometimes in desperation and also the behaviourist told me to throw the treats on the floor as distraction but arent i then rewarding him for bad behaviour of biting????

Tedsmum will become famous soon enough
I may have missed your previous threads so don't know what else you have said in the past.
I know this won't be popular with some on here but I would definately use some other sort of deterrant to break this pattern of habitual behaviour.
I have used a bottle with stones in or a corrector spray for extreme behaviour in the past and it is not true that it automatically turns every dog into a neurotic mess. You have tried very hard with traditional training methods after all and this is a serious problem. If your dog is actually hurting you when you try to walk him I think desperate measures are called for.
