Help with car travel

Hi All! Diva's now 6 months old and is fine when travelling in the car (always has been, thank god!), the only problem we have is when we drive her to the park, when we get to the car park she gets SOOO excited and barks the place down!! We ask her to sit down before we let her out of the car, and also to calm her down a bit, but it can take up to 8 or more reps - us opening and closing the car boot - before she actually does! It is a bit embarrassing too as it seems she is the only dog behaving that w ay in public, just joking she's still young and we love her to bits but Any advice welcome please?

Stick with what your doing, being naughty = staying in the car! Keep doing it and eventually the number of times will reduce and then to not at all repitition is the key

Another way you could try is attach a long line to her but put it over the back seat and through the back door, that way you have a physical link to her and are able to have a bit of control whilst opening the tailgate, if you get what I mean!
