You're not being exciting enough for her

You have to make the games up + get her interested.

Maybe she just doesn't like THAT ball? Get her another

Will she play with other toys?

Maybe she doesn't know how to play with them yet. You could try attaching one to a line and getting her to chase it with you pulling it along. As Tracey says make it really exciting for her, when she catches it YAY! etc.

She shows interest in the ball when i throw it as she chases it, but then she does not pick it up and play with it, and when we are in the house i roll the ball across the room and she goes after it but then turns her nose up at it

She's bored. She's bright and has sussed that game. You need to make it more exciting.

Ever since I have had Jazz, she has never shown any interest in play of any sort, or with anything, or anyone,.. and its not for the want of trying

Mind you she did have a bad start in life, maybe thats it in our case,...or maybe some dogs just dont

She is bored, you have to run around + play with her, it's boring just fetching a ball back.

Play tug of war with a soft toy, you have to get her into play mode or she doesn't know what you want her to do

I will try other methods, but i have been told never to encourage games of tug a wars with GSD espeh if you have kids.

I think Jess had a good start in life to be fair, she is confident and outgoing and isnt timid at all

Thanks again for the advise

lol, tell that to Rogue, she could play fetch for HOURS... and there is nothing worse than the 'soggy tennis ball in the lap' routine. There's nothing you can do with it, she just brings it back!

If she's not keen on a ball, Liam and Jess... why don't you try a rope, or a squeaky toy?? maybe she's just not a ball type of dog
