Excitement Wee

Hello... Maverick since he was very little has weed everywhere when he's very excited. Nine times out of ten this is when he either sees me or my mum. He sometimes does it when he's waiting for his food but rarely. He also sometimes does it when strangers come into the house.
I don't think he even knows he's doing it, he just bounds around with a sprinkle of wee underneath him. It doesn't matter where it is - inside or outside. When the initial excitement is over that's it and he doesn't do it again until the next day.
I thought it was something that he might grow out of after toilet training, but he learnt to go outside a long time ago and has always been a clean dog.
HELP!!

Have the very same problem every single time the dog claps eyes on us after being out or coming down from upstairs. He now jumps up you too so fires it all over your legs

Sophie, sometimes both of mine wee when I come back from work. I just have to ignore them, which is hard and not speak to them until they're calm and not squeaking and turning in circles.

When I came back from Crufts I'd been gone all day and most of the night and it was too much for Remus.. he had an excitement wee while holding a toy for me and then looked all sad. He's nearly 2.5 years old.

I think he's still quite young and he will hopefully grow out of it.

As Anni says try to ignore him when you or your mum first great him, I think its just excitement and if you can stop him getting quite so het up it should help.

Spyke used to be a terrible excitement wee...er I can`t remember when he stopped but he has recently turned 1yr so probably a month or so before his birthday. I can`t remember the last time he done it but I`m not saying it won`t happen again. We used to try to ignore him until he`d calmed down a bit... bloomin hard when you just want to give them a hug.

When I had Diesel for about the first 6 weeks he would wee when I came home from work - only me not OH - and he was 15 months old.

He stopped at about 3 months in (I obviously became boring lol!!)

Diesel used to pee when we came home but then we used to greet him full of excitement which was making it worse. We started to ignore him when we came in, waited for him to be calm then fuss him and the peeing stopped within a week.
