Kaz and Harvey is on a distinguished road
Halti training

Harvey had not been socialised by his previous owners and barks and pulls me when he saw another dog either large or small

We got a halti and have been doing lots of training with it on him
Basicly when we see another dog and he barks he is made to sit and the halti tightens on him he is told to "leave it" and gets a reward for his good behaviour

Yesterday was the best walk ever, we saw 3 different dogs and he only did little bark at one of them and he never pulled me at all, we did the usual routine of sit and leave it and I am so proud of him that I just need to share it with you all

I totally understand the halti thing Kaz...This is the 2nd GS I've used a halti on and they are just great to use for walk training. No more pulling, no more side to side stuff.

Well done - I too use the halti on Diesel you have so much more control. We are now in the stages of "weaning" him off it using the double ended halti lead and only putting pressure on the "nose" bit if needed.

When my OH first used the halti on Deez he came back and said "Its like walking a different dog!"

It has made a big difference and I shall continue to use it for a while until he learns to be good around other dogs
