Happy happy happy happy!

I am the proudest Mummy ever!
Although I am a little shameful about it.
We have finally got to a stage with Blitz's toilet training where I can see that we are getting somewhere, it seemed to click yesterday and is getting better.
We are expecting accidents but hoping given another fortnight we will be fully housetrained!
I think we have a lot to blame ourselves for but now we have become more consistent and persistent Blitz has picked it up no problem.
So much trial and error involved in puppy training.
He is such a patient and intelligent dog.
Now, really, he is only having accidents when we have forgotten to check if he needs one. Hopefully we will get him to a stage where he cries at the door soon.
We don't feel like we are over it, but my carpet smells nice, the house doesn't reek when you walk in and I can sense some real progress.
I was just about to lose my patience with him I think so just in time to save me money on training sessions lol xxx

Well done all round, its nice to hear people who admit to their own mistakes, because it is hardly ever the dog who is at fault, if a dog doesnt know then it cant do what is required of it
So the credit goes you you Lucy,.. well done

Oh and have a great time when you meet Linda, [you will like her].

Sounding good Lucy. Some take longer than others, but it helps if we're clear with what we want them to do. Blitz is a clever boy

To be honest Stuart, we really messed up, we tried all the puppy pads and stuff but we spent longer chasing little bits of pad and paper than we did cleaning accidents and we got a bit lazy after that, we have both had dogs before but never a puppy t contend with. Dan has always had rescues and Blitz is my first dog so I think we underestimated our responsibilities really.
Definitely wouldn't blame Blitz, he is so good in every other way that it could only be us and he has never messed out of badness, only ever necessity.
You live and learn I guess, just really pleased he was patient and intelligent enough to let us show him after confusing him so much.

I'm sure we will have a fab time, got a couple of errands to run shortly then we are on our way

Thanks everyone fr your encouragement xx
