Behaviour & Season?

For the past week Zara has been fretting when we put her in her crate for bed, she's been whining terribly until she finally settles for the night. She used to be great at going to bed without any noise or fuss. This morning when I got her out i've seen she's come into season. Could this be the reason for her not wanting to be alone maybe??

Some of them do get quite clingy when they come into season, especially for the first time. As long as she's ok in herself & eating & drinking normally I'd think it's probably that.

You could always move her crate into your bedroom if you ahve room. That way she might feel a bit more secure.

Along with being extra clingy i also find they tend to get a little nervous of thing that they normally woldnt think twice about. Isis when due in season gets a little nervous of men although there is no barking or cowering she will use avoidance and its not just with strange men she is like it with Doug (our trainer who has trained us since Isis was 10 weeks) and Isis just loves doug. Also i find it can happen upto a month before they actually start thier seasons, poor girlys a slave to thier hormones (cant wait for Isis to be spayed)
