I can bet I know how you are feeling,..I would be too,....
..... but maybe the best way forward is not to think of what could have happened and look at how it happened and what you can learn from it, and do in the future.
First of all, you will be right, if Maya had not seen a crawling baby, then its hard to blame her, she could of been thinking almost anything,... the good thing is nothing came of it.
Its difficult to know where to go from here,.. I think I would visit somewhere where there are lots of prams and young children,.. and ask if you can `mingle`, try to get Maya accustomed to cries and sqeals,.. and movements and prams.
....but you will not get anywhere by worring too much,...its a case of more socialisation for Maya

Im sorry to read this but Thankfully Baby is okay.
I would say its instinctual Maya chasing after baby (especially with baby crawling on the floor.)
You have to have eyes in the back of your head at this time of year when things like babies out of prams and crawling will be happening at this time of year.
Still a shock though I know I would have been horrified.
I would recall her as soon as you see her spot something.
Im always on the look out for anything like this.
If it moves on the ground in that position a dog wont see it as a baby more of a prey thing.

You have to work on her recall, when you call her to you she MUST come back to you
I think that's the solution
BTW have we seen some pics of her ? Would love to see some

Thanks for the reply..I'm still quite shaken by the all thing, that poor woman ..the thing is I go with maya to parks with lots of kids everyday when i pick my son from school so she is been around kids a lot since I had her..but not crawling babies..I will make sure this wont happen again..at the moment the thought of asking some mothers in the park if maya can get near their babies is a bit difficult...

I understand Hon
Just thinking do you go to a training club?
Ours bring out dolls that cry move and crawl so the dogs reaction can be seen
Just a thought

Thanks..I'm normally very aware with the surrounding..and I saw her going towards the woman I called her back but did not come ...normally she is very good with the recall but today she was totally focused on that baby ..soo scary..
