First holiday with Diva - Dilemna!
We're planning to go on our first holiday with Diva in June (Exciting!! ) and so have been searching the internet for somewhere suitable. I must say it's a bit daunting as there are so many places to visit, etc, and so many different sort of accommodation to choose from
Grateful for some advice on what sort of accommodation would be best, B&B/ Cottage/ Caravan..Im thinking 'cottage' coz there will be more room for us all to move around and at least if we fancy a night in, we wont be cooped up in one room, but not sure!!

How exciting!
We've stayed in a caravan, B&B and a cottage and no problems with any of them, you will of course have more privacy in a cottage though.
Can't wait for the pics....xx

Last June, before having Tia, we stayed in a hotel on the IoW where other guests had dogs so we've booked a balcony room for this June. We're really looking forward to it but last time we took Tia to the beach, she tried to drink all the sea and was sick everywhere.
wherever you decide .. have a great time

I asked GSD Jay that question and yes apparently you can go up on deck with them just not in the restaurant

Its a good question, but no certainty to the answer, we have several ferrys here,..
if I go on the ferry to Skye from Mallaig,..we can take the dog `up top`
If we use the ferry to Mull, the dog has to stay `down below`,.. but if we talk to the desk master, he lets you stay with the dog
If we go to the Orkneys,.. the dog has to stay `down below`, and we are not allowed to stay with them
So the best answer is to ask before hand

This year will be my first holiday with a dog, we have booked a cottage in Skye Cant wait!!!
For me a cottage was the best option as Bonnie is funny with people so I think that a remote cottage where we can relax and chill not worrying about loads of people around and loads of long country walks...... ideal

Last year we went camping in Yorkshire & stayed in an 8 berth tent. The year before we rented a cottage in Ireland. I preferred the cottage because of the comfort, to be honest. And the cooking was easier!
