Season Frequency Query!!

Diva had her first season at the end of March and we think she may have come into her second season already!!!!!!!!! We noticed a few drops of blodd on the kitchen floor last night so we checked her and she was ok except she had blood on her vulva...I thought females only came into season every 6 months so it seems a bit early if she is, it is 4 months if you count from the beginning of her first and only 3.5 months if from the end of the first so I am confused

The average is 6 months, but it can be anything from 4 months to a year! Let's hope it's just cause she's young & her body routine hasn't settled yet!

Keep an eye on her, though. If her vulva swells, then it's a season - if it doesn't, it could be an infection.

Mishka has had three seasons in five months. We are waiting now to see if she can make a three month gap so we can get her spayed, only another 2months and 1 week to go. The vet was not overly concerned, as long as it doesn't happen again, she seemed to think it was just hormones being a bit erratict (SP?) and hopes they will settle on there own. So don't panic

Oh Jackie, and there was me thinking Diva coming so soon in her second season was strange!!!! 3 seasons in 5 months, how did you cope?! Thing is, we noticed a sopt of blood on monday night but nothing since and her vulva is not swollen either, and her behaviour hasnt changed so must admit slightly confused! We walked her last night but made sure it was somewhere extremely quiet (no dogs or people ever go there, well apart from us !) and she was ON lead to be extra safe because she needs her exercise, otherwise she is sooo hyper and impossible. We shall keep an eye on her and see what happens...
