No Sleep aaaaaargh!!!!!!
sorry to post this because lately it seems all i do is post when things are not going great! We have season AGAIN!!! It was only 5 months since we had it, we have it again....! I can cope with it, the bleeding is subsiding, its not that bad - thru the day -.........Night time is HORRENDOUS!!!!!!!!! From midnight till 3am - howling, barking, crying, banging about, desperate to get out of her cage, its just awful. Kids are waking up (4&8yrs) is this normal in season?? Dont want to go down to her because that might be what she wants?? But cant keep going on night after night like this, any ideas any1??

Well she's never usually like this. She did go thru a phase when she disliked going to bed but everything was fine and has been for a long time, but she's recently started carrying on, on a night so we've just put it down to her being in season, what else could it be...

Has she got a door on her cage.
Only at her age I wouldn't let it be a cage, I would want her to see it as a den.
Sorry If you have to do this for safety (children bothering her or something)
Bitches are normally quiet really, may be a bit more agitated
the second week.
Maybe she doesn't like the cage any more and feels trapped.
Sorry not much help, and I just read my post back, even to me it sounded snotty, but I don't mean it that way.
Hope your little girl settled soon.

Could possibly be also that she's being disturbed herself through the night. You never know...she may be hearing something outside. Perhaps one of your neighbours has changed shift pattern or something and there are comings or goings outside that she hears. Or even something like a fox in your garden through the night.
I've never had a bitch barking or howling. Just being a bit fed up or a complete tart usually.

She will be howling for a mate I would say, although I have not had this problem it makes perfect sense. It might be worse because she is caged possible.
The answer.... get her spayed in 2 - 3 months time!!!

Awww Heather, I sympathize with you coz Diva has just finished her second season too, there were only 4 months between her first and this one!!
Im not sure what is going on with Zara but she may be howling at night coz she is looking for a mate or she is desperate for a pee, Diva was peeing constantly this season even had one or two accidents in the house coz she couldnt wait to be outside.
Sorry Im not of much help here but PM me if you need to shout! xx
