harley biting!!

Hi not posted in a while but i have a problem with Harley!! He was a yr at end of March but still nibbles like a puppy!! We have just moved house ( Sat just gone ) and there are a lot of kids around here who come and go to each others houses. I have 5 children so my dogs are used of lots of children. Today some of the children came round and Harley went up to one boy who was sitting in a chair, the boy started to stroke him and Harley went for his face he didnt do it in a horrid way just like a puppy would but he is a big boy now!! how can i stop this? and should i be worried? Naomi

I wouldn't be worried if he didn't do it nastily, he's still a baby. BUT very firm NO or AH AH AH or whatever you do, to make him know that's unacceptable behaviour

Boris will be 3 in October + he very occasionally jumps into someone's face purely because he loves them + gets sooo excited, swiftly followed by a cuff to the ear to let him know that's not allowed

Any recent piccies???

i would say at a year old he is still very young and although he shouldnt do that he was just being ott and clumsy with his affection (if it def was a puppy play thing)...he is obviously used to lots of children and play so having new children around was probably quite exciting for him. new house, new children and noises, new surroundings and smells. i would bring new children into the room before he is let in and then mayby ask him to sit before he is petted while he and the new children get used to each other.. if he does it again i would scold and put him in another room for time out. i would imagaine if you have just moved it is busy and hectic at home and everyone rushing about and excited.. mayby he is feeling a bit wired up with all the changes too..
