Two males
Would 2 male sheps get on okay together? I know bitches tend to fight between them, but I always thought 2 dogs would get on okay? Any ideas?

Laura it depends on variables - your ability to control and be in charge of a pack, the temperments of the dogs concerned and age gap
I have had has many has 3 entire males together I know some people who cant have 2

I don't think it is necessarily that bitches tend to fight more than dogs - just that when two bitches do fight it is far worse and much harder to get them living back together again!
Most dogs will not do serious damage, whereas two bitches will fight to the death and remember it. Once females have fought they are rarely happy to mix again and people usually end up rehoming one of them.
Like most females I suppose ..............

I am looking at getting another, it will be a pup. Ozzie is nearly 2 1/2 and very laid back! The terriers walk all over him, literally! One of my terriers is still entire too, but he has a puppy mentality and still thinks he is a baby!! Ozzie has never had an issue with other dogs when out on walks or at training, he just wants to be everyones friend!

Friend has 2 male(chopped ) collies and she says they get on fine.Quite happy when my Molly stayed but she said she would have been worried about them having another male introduced.

I'd agree with Pam. It depends on temperament, age, training etc. Getting a pup should be fine. Plus you have your terriers, so the dogs are used to pack structure. And Ozzie is a relaxed, settled dog
I know that entire vs neutered comes into it, but your control is IMO very important. The reason I say this is my friend has a male GSD age 5, neutered but very dominant - why? Because she's allowed him to behave like that - she jokes that 'He always has to be boss'. No he doesn't! He's been allowed to dominate other dogs out of his territory, so thinks this is acceptable behaviour.
Certain behaviour traits will emerge with more than one dog, the ideal is where they take it in turns to boss or be submissive to each other in play - that's a good match. You should have overall control to diffuse any potential situations which could escalate.

I have never realy held these thoughts about will this dog fight with this one?,.. two bitches?,..two dog? etc
I have two bitches, and two males, [one intact],....I have never had a problem,... when I have fostered or dog sat, if it has been male dogs or bitches, I have dealt with anything that may happen before it does
....all that is needed is to make the first meeting a good one, and antisipate the possible problems, and be firm from the begining, come down fast at the first hint of a problem,... there is no reason that two males will not get on very well together.
If you are worried at all, can you arrange a trial, to see how they get on?

Your right Stuart, and TBH I had never really thought of it before until someone said today that two males will fight! Then I started doubting if I was doing the right thing or not! I have had same breed entire males before without any issues! So I don't see why this should be any different!
