Thanks folks.

Do have a bit of a strange smell in there at the moment with the vinegar and carpet detergent but its not pee!! I am opening the windows and "shake n' vac"ing for now to see if we have success.

This thread proves to all you newbies you can ask anything on here and get an answer although depending whose on I will admit that the answers are sometimes not all that sensible but great fun!!

Did you know that using disinfectants and alot of cleaning products actually do more harm than good as they also mark the area, therefore your dog knows the smell so pees in the same place repeatidly.

Therefore Fairy liquid cleans the area thoroughly with no lasting smelly odours.

I agree with the above..... soap powder - but add a little bicarb or soda, worked for me when Bonnie was toilet training
