really nice man!!

Last night we were walking Sally and Merlin - we saw a guy with a collie X GSD running around the field, we kept Sally on her short lead and put her muzzle on just in case the other dog came over.

The guy was walking towards us and I was getting Sally in a sit to just watch.

Then the guy started walking over to us...panic set in..he shouted

'Do you want to walk them together, get her used to other dogs!'
I nearly passed out LOL.
I said 'are you sure?? she is funny with people too'
He said 'No problem she has a muzzle, what harm can she do?'

We started walking, and she jumped up at the bloke growling

He said don't worry about that, I will keep over this side. She didn't do it again

He then spotted the long line in my OH pocket, he said put her on the long line and let her have a play. And she did! She sniffed Floyd (thats the dogs name) and was fine- no barking, growling. She ran around sniffing with Merlin and Floyd

She was a normal dog and ignored the bloke completely.

He said comes to that park every evening at 8pm (except Mondays and Tuesdays) and is more than happy to make it a regular thing!

He also said there are loads of great people in the park willing to do the same, and just go ask them!
I am on a mission to find people willing to put up with her and just have a nice walk!

Typical that i didn't see one other person on our three walks today, I felt like a right numpty- walking around the fields desperately trying to find people! Such a contrast to this time last year, sneaking around the fields hiding from people!

I was upset about her jumping up at him, but he said after not to stress about it because she relaxed as soon as she went on her long line.

I was going to try and sneak a few pictures, but i didnt want him to think i was really weird

I kinda do the same with Zeph, used to dodge everyone, now I walk towards them! Its great when you come across people like this, they are such a help! If I meet people who are ok with it, Zephyr goes off lead, no muzzle, he goes from big bad wolf on the lead to running around with his tail between his legs off lead lol! He has come such a long way with socialising with other people's dogs, and i'm sure Sally will too
