I like different names, I was going to call Rayden Reaper lol, but thought I better not ha ha.
Dalton is a surname, plus from the film Road house, Kane is just Kane, Liberty because she was born the 4th july, and Rayden is the japanese God of Thunder, and also from the game/film Mortal Kombat
xx

I personaly do not like two sylable names, believing that dogs react better to shorter names,..I would prefer names like, Sam, Jake, Kee, Jazz,..but you can also get some very unusual one sylable names too,..I like `Ty`,.[ tie], Bo [ for a bitch ] or Thor

I thought one syllable names were too much like commands for dogs, as their hearing isn't the same. Might confuse them? I prefer the ring to a 2 syllable name anyway. I was thinking Dino because I was so obsessed with my Dino rubber ring when I was a kid (yes, from the flintstones :P)
Found some old photos from a holiday in Tenerife with my family when I was like 4, and thought hmm, that could be interesting! Still not sure, the name holds fond memories for me so it might be a winner. Then again I might still go for something powerful sounding...
I kinda want a name that makes him sound big, strong, and courageous. It is the breed standard after all lol.

I think that [ to me ] is the whole idea,..I have worked with dogs on the farm and dogs in the Army,.. and the dogs name is a command in many instances,.. if you are recalling for instance, it is far better to be able to get the dog to return to you by shouting `Sam` rather than `Sam, come`,..if you need your dog to leave something in a hurry,.. far more effective just to shout the dogs name,...and if you think about it, you will come up with many other time when it can be handy
But its a personal thing and is of little importance

We called our boy Dexter after a character on a TV show. In hindsight, naming him after a serial killer might have been a bit of a strange idea!!

I was thinking about that!!! I love Dexter. Soooo much. It's amazing haha. The only TV show I follow. Can't wait for season 5 this month =]
But yeah I wanna get an albino rat and call it Dexter so I decided to save the name for that lol.
But... He's a good serial killer, it's alright :P
