Oh don't be hard on yourself, they can't be angels all the time no matter how much effort you put in.
At least he didn't do what my friends' greyhound did the day they moved in - eat the neighbours' cat!

Ah I've been there..........Del somehow managed to grab hold of the neighbours cat, shook it and shattered it's pelvis. They moved away after that.......

They're bred for it aren't they? My friend said one minute the dog was chilling on the lawn... cat pads in... the next, snap! he had it in his mouth in seconds. Instant and thankfully quick death. Not the best first impression after unloading the removal van...

I have the opposite problem, Ozzie sees a cat and he turns and runs the opposite way to get away as fast as he can in case the savage cat gets him!

The thing about cats, is that there are indoor cats and outdoor cats,.. dogs can,.. and will get on great with the household cat, but will wage war on any other cat they come across.
lol,... Sarah, I wouldnt worry about what you did, I think most people know that dogs are hard to control around their arch rivals,.. even angels like Raydon

I feel so bad about it all, and what must people think, watching me trying to get him away up the road, like OMG he was pulling one way me the other im almost dragging him, my face must of been a picture like grrrrrr, he was lunging and swinging himself about trying to get his collar free to get at it, OMG,, what can i say, i must of looked liked a terrible owner.
I still feel traumatised, Rayden is fine....I even checked he hasnt hurt his neck..I cant find the cat though xx

Sarah ..... Welcome to my world!
I have to be prepared for any cat with Diesel. However when I first got him it was cats, people, dogs, postboxes (yes post boxes!!??), discarded carrier bags, - basically anything that moved APART FROM pigeons on the lawn!!!!!!!
I must have always looked like the worst owner in the world doing exactly what you said
swinging and lunging around - and yes sometimes I still do as he does what I call his "riverdancing" as he seems to do most of it on his hind legs!??
The worst thing is Diesel is no small dog..........
Anyway hun dont worry hes still a baby and very trainable x x

Rayden is so cute....wouldn't hurt a fly
We had a cat years ago that hated dogs, a GSD owner knocked at our door complaining about our cat who had ripped a flap of skin on his face but fair play the GSD did ambush the cat up a flight of stairs.
GV9297...'riverdancing' lol
Wish sasha liked cats though as theres a old cat we used to feed & let it for a heat that has a limp but is terrified of sasha and it looks so thin and weak
