Quick question?

I have started taking Ozzie to some small local shows, they do pedigree classes, but list them as follows.

Any variety puppy
Any variety sporting
Any variety Non-sporting, and
Any variety open!

Now, I always end up in a debate about what class Ozzie should go in, he has ended up in both non-sporting and open class. Which on is correct?

It isn't a major issue, as this is just a bit of fun, but I just wondered if anyone actually knew!

If its just a fun show (for under age puppies) they will have this sort of programme.
Best Puppy~
(Up to 12 months)

Handsomest Dog~

Prettiest Bitch ~

Best Brace ~

Most Appealing Eyes ~

Best Mover ~

Best Rescue ~

Best Pedigree

Best Long Coat ~

Best Short Coat ~

Scruffiest Dog / Bitch ~

Best dog aged 10 years and over ~

Best in Show ~

Reserve Best in Show ~

And Lynne would enter Bailey in ..................
Most Handsome Dog.
Best Pedigree
Best Short coat
And sometimes Best in show if you can? sometimes you have to win a class to enter.
She always enters Bailey in Most appealing eyes, then struggles when all the owners hold their Toy dogs in their arms to look the Judge in the eyes as Bailey weighs in at 26KGs.
Hope this helps

Hi,

He can be entered in both non-sporting & open, but if I remember correctly, should you win one and not the other, you are unable to go forward to Best in Show, as you have then got a beaten dog. Therefore I would suggest only entering one of these classes. Also, bear in mind that Open is for any breed, so there is likely to be less competition in Non sporting.

This is only what I remember from exemption showing many years ago and sometimes my memory fails me - I am sure someone will let you know if this is correct!!

Sue.
