Wink some people just know it all...

My husband and a few of his friends went to the pub on the weekend.

There was a man sitting at one of the tables with a German Shepherd. My husband said to one his friends "Look a the beautiful long heard German Shepherd over there" to which his friends girl friend replied " There is no such thing as long haired or short haired German Shepherds. The ones with the long hair just have not had their hair cut for a while."

My hubby tried to explain to her that she is mistaken but she was adamant. Oh well.. will give somebody else a good laugh when she voices her knowledge again. Made me laugh anyway

I often crack up at people's 'knowledge' of the breed, you just have to laugh.

It's a cracker

Mind you I was very suprised when I popped over to pet at home the other week, they have a glass fronted grooming palour in line with the tills, and surprised to see a white long haired shepherd being groomed!

But this what my hubby great aunty said about Jones we'd would have to have his coat sheared in the summer! Now I know that Jones isn't a full shepherd, but he does have the shepherd coat though...

She couldn't understand that if it was sheared then it would not only totally ruin his coat, but not do him any favours as it would muck up his ability to keep himself cool as possible!
